Folders and Cubbies
A folder for each child will be located in his or her classroom. All office and classroom communications will be handled with this folder. Please check the folder daily for any notes. Check your child’s classroom cubby daily for any artwork or projects.
Discipline
It is our belief that busy children who are well-supervised are less likely to develop discipline problems. At Morning Star Preschool and Child Care we provide a comfortable atmosphere with positive reinforcement. A copy of our Behavior Management Plan is located in each classroom.
Field Trips
Field trips and nature walks are considered an important part of our educational program. You will be notified of our plans in advance either by the monthly newsletter or by a letter sent home in parent folders. Transportation for these trips will always be by chartered bus with seat belts.
Security and Safety
Morning Star Preschool and Child Care strives for a very safe, secure and loving environment. We would like everyone to enter the Center through the main door. This door will be locked during Preschool hours. Only parents of registered children will be given the security pass to enter. The door at the north end of the hallway will be locked from the outside only. We can exit in case of fire, but no one will be able to enter through that door.
